Glycine ethyl ester hydrochloride is also known as aminoacetic acid ethylester hydrochloride. It is white crystalline powder at room temperature. Easily soluble in water, solubility in water >1000 g/L (20 ºC), slightly soluble in ethanol, insoluble in ether, easy to absorb moisture when placed in the air, and slowly decomposes when the temperature exceeds 200 °C.
Ethyl glycinate hydrochloride is used as a pesticide pyrethroid insecticide and a raw material for the pharmaceutical industry, such as an intermediate for the preparation of chrysanthemic acid and permethrin, fungicide iprodione, pharmaceutical anti-inflammatory drugs, tetrazoleacetic acid, etc. It is also used in preparations such as biochemical research.
